It is with great
sadness that Harrow Cricket Club informs its members of the recent
passing of those that have contributed so much to the
club.

Gordon
Taylor
Gordon Taylor died in the early hours of
Thursday 26th June. Many people will remember Gordon running the bar
during the 80s and for being a long standing social member. Our
sympathies go out to Betty, Stuart, Aaron and Mia.
Amy
Watts
Amy was a long standing member of Harrow Cricket
Club. Amy was involved in the cricket teas for many many years
and played for the Harrow Ladies Darts Team.
Scott

Although Scott was not a member of HCC, a number
of you will remember him fondly as the brother of Boyd. Scott passed
away on the 4th May 2014 at the age of 36.
Robert

Affectionately known as Bob The
Book, Robert was a long standing and respected club

2013
John
Mitchell

until the early 2000's. In addition to playing, he served as a
committee member, Captain, Club Secretary, Chairman and President. He
played in the 2nd & 3rd XI's, a prominent figure as a batsman,
wicketkeeper and slip fielder. During his time as captain he
particularly encouraged the younger players to enjoy their cricket.
There are many who will remember playing under him with fondness and
appreciation. During his time as Chairman and latterly as President
there were occasions when he further demonstrated his selflessness by
personally helping out the club through difficult financial periods.
Throughout his time at HCC, both on and off the field, John Mitchell
was a true clubman. He will be missed. He is survived by hiswife
Barbara and his two daughters Karen and Kathryn.

by his wife Peggy and son David (who many of you will know from his
time as our groundsman).

Brian had been a member since the early
1980's and a vice president and former club secretary who served on a
number of committees including most recently the executive committee.
