Junior Match-Bowling-Batting -Fielding Preparation.
Match Preparation:
Make sure you know the date and time of the match.
Check that you have ALL your kit before you leave home.
Ensure your kit is clean.
Please arrive at the stated time.
Be ready to warm up 20 minutes before the start.
The captains should toss up about 10 minutes before the start.
Bowling:
All bowlers should warm up before the start.
Mark your run - up out accurately.
At first concentrate on line and length.
Try to spot the batters weakness.
Talk to the captain about field placings.
When you are confident try the occasional variation.
Keep concentrating for all 6 deliveries.
Never Ever question the umpires decision.
Never lose your temper.
Be modest when you get someone out.
Batting:
A true cricketer bats FOR HIS SIDE, not himself.
Never Ever question an umpires decision.
Watch the game when you are not batting.
Build your innings in stages.
Get used to things
-take guard.
-look around the field for gaps.
-leave balls you need not play.
-play balls in THE V.
Get a start - look for singles and call quickly and clearly.
- hit the bad balls away.
Get going - try to attack when possible, don't however, become careless.

Know the running between the wickets rules.
Keep in touch with your partner.
Watch the scoreboard and remember the needs of your team.
Fielding:
Be Alert at all times and enjoy your fielding.
Always stay where the captain puts you and watch him for changes.
Walk in purposefully at all times.
Throw tidily to the wicketkeeper or bowler.
Make the ball dead when practical.
Be ready to back up other player's throws.
Only appeal when you really think a batsman is out.
Encourage your team when appropriate.
Play for your team.
Clap off a batsman who has done well.
