PRACTICE PLANS
Our practice plans will allow us to put a simple framework in place to help measure & monitor the progress of our young cricketers.
As part of developing junior cricketers, a structured and progressive set of plans ensures that everyone knows if they are on track and properly prepared. This will also help with the expectation levels of all concerned.
OFF SEASON
The off season will allow us to work on the technical side as we work through our winter programme.
PRE SEASON
During this time, weather permitting we will practice outdoors & bring together all the technical aspects of our off-season work. This will allow us to get in the mind set of competition. Providing our players with a smooth transition from skill (technical) into competition - related outcomes (tactical).
CRICKET SEASON
During the season itself, we will focus on running practice sessions that reflect match situations around game based drills.
SUMMARY
Our session plans and drills will allow us to work with all our junior players. Our objective is to engage all our players in an enjoyable and productive training programme.
We shall aim to open up the mind of our players & coaches to interesting and innovative drills, games and challenges to try to increase and add variation to our junior training nights.
