Aims & Objectives of Summer Camps
Our summer camps focus on developing
every individual and making cricket fun.
We have specialist sessions during the
course to work on fixed, variable and
game based scenarios.
Because of the time we have with players
during their summer school holidays, the
camps allow us to work with them in
specialised groups and create more
elaborate & varied session plans.
The morning sessions focus on building
up batting, bowling & fielding skills which
can then be incorporated into the games
during the afternoon.
We also spend time working on fitness.
We try and make this fun by utilising
activities such as 5-a-side football in
addition to general fitness drills.
Younger and less experienced players will
use softball, whilst more experienced
cricketers will use hardball.
All of our coaches hold up to date coaching credentials. They have a UKCC Level 2 or 3 coaching qualification, DBS check, first aid certificate, and are members of the ECB coaches association.
What to Bring
Each child should bring a packed lunch,
protective equipment, comfortable sports
clothing and footwear, hat and suncream.
Facilities & Equipment
For these camps we utilise both of our cricket squares, artificial nets & bowling
machines. We do not cancel these camps due to weather as we have access to
a large astro turf training area and large clubhouse in case of rain.
