Match report Harrow got their 2010 league campaign off to a very disappointing start by losing away to Enfield on Saturday. Despite keeping the home team in check during the first half of their innings, poor Harrow bowling in the later over’s combined with shoddy ground fielding allowed Enfield to stage a recovery from 175-5 to finish with 243-6 off 52 over’s.

In reply the Harrow innings got off to a shaky start with Dave Walker run out at the non strikers end when the bowler deflected the ball on to the stumps. Some very poor shots from the rest of the top order then saw the visitors reduced to 65-5.

A brisk and positive 6th wicket partnership of 80 between Darren Crook
(39) and Suk Bhupal (41) showed that their were no demons in either the pitch or the bowling. With Harrow needing less than 6 runs an over off the last 17 overs and sensing a victory chance, the partnership was broken. There followed another mini collapse and Harrow were all out for 176, some 67 runs short. It was a poor team batting performance in pursuit of an eminently gettable target.
