Match report A magnificent 120 from Dave Walker ensured that Harrow took the initiative from the word go against Southgate on Saturday. Losing the toss and put into bat the openers Hussain (32) and Walker put on 63 for the first wicket. Walker and Morris put on 100 for the second wicket as Morris helped Walker keep up the moment with a quick 42. But Walker was the star of the innings going to score a fantastic 120 that gave the entire team momentum and confidence.

In reply Southgate looked solid but the Harrow bowlers never let up and kept a very tight line. The two spinners Avi Karia and Ajay Patdiwala bowled 28 overs between them and took 4-79, and that proved to be too much for Southgate to recover from. At 101-6 Southgate decided to block out for a draw and despite taking a further wicket,Southgate were able to hold out for a draw at 177-7. Harrow had to content themselves with a winning draw and the 4 points for a much improved performance in the league.
