Harrow Cricket Club Sunday 2nd XI v Hanwell on Sun 20 Jun 2010 at 1330
Harrow Cricket Club Won
Match report
Harrow's Sunday 2XI bounced back well against Hanwell to register their first win of the Chess Valley season. Losing the toss the opposition decided to bat first and posted an impressive 269 from their 45 over’s despite a late great spell of bowling which saw Kevan David-Joseph take 4 for 30 from his 5 over’s. Bowlers Kirit Mohane and Johnathan Raveenndran also bowled well as Hanwell were helped to their big total due to some indifferent bowling which saw skipper Amit Patel going for 73 off his ten overs. Nirmal Ramgi also took 4 catches behind the stumps. Harrow batsmen facing a large total batted impressively with Pritesh Vaghela and Shazad Shah putting on over a hundred for the first wicket at just under a run a ball. Pritesh Vaghela was first to go on 59 and was quickly followed by Shazad Shah who once again fell short of his half century and scored an impressive 48. Vikash Seth came in at number 3 and batted with great responsibility and intelligence to lead Harrow home with 3 balls to spare playing a mature innings of 63 not out. Vikash Seth was helped in guiding the team home with Amit Patel chipping in with 23 and cameo knocks from Chris Summersell (24) and Johnathan Raveendran (30*) who both scored at more then a run a ball. Hopefully this is the start of things to come as Harrow seek to build on their impressive win in their hope to clime to the top of the league.
