Winning the toss South Hampstead racked up an imposing 279-8 off their 45 overs. The Harrow bowlers started poorly as South Hampstead brought up their 50 in only the fifth over. In his second spell Darren Crook picked up five wickets and prevented South Hampstead from reaching the the 300 they had looked set for at one stage. The only other spell of note came from debutant off spinner Ajay Patdiwala who bowled nine overs and took 1-26.

In reply Harrow got off to a flying start with Waqas Hussein and Dave Walker putting on 50 for the first wicket inside 10 overs. A quickfire 24 from David Morris kept the momentum going but a slow period of play in the middle overs really cost Harrow. Despite Dave Walker scoring 61, Harrow fell behind the run rate and left themselves needing 9 an over from the last 15 overs. Despite a quick 45 from captain Suk Bhupal it was too little to late as the run rate continued to climb and Harrow lost regular wickets and were bowled out inside the 41st over, South Hampstead running out comfortable winners by 67 runs.
