Match report Harrow's Jekyll & Hyde season continued with a comprehensive 9 wicket win in the second round of the Middlesex Cup. Put in to bat,Southall struggled to come to terms with an outstanding new ball spell from Michael Vosloo who ripped through the top of the batting order to reduce Southall to 40-4. Despite half centuries from captain Ashgar and Wasim, Southall continued to lose wickets,in
part thanks to tight middle overs bowling from Farrukh Choudhry who took 2-34. It was unlikely that 217 would be enough on a good batting wicket, and so it proved as openers Waqas Hussain and Dave Walker continued their run of century opening partnerships in cup competitions, by bringing up their 100 partnership in only the 11th over. Hussein went for 82, but Walker carried on through to the end to reach 83 not out and ensure that Harrow progressed to the third round where they will meet Shepherds Bush. It means that Harrow are now in the third round of both the Cricket Conference Cup and the Middlesex Cup.
