Match report A maiden league hundred from Waqas Hussain was the highlight of the match on Saturday as Harrow faced Enfield on what is unquestionably the best batting track in the league. With very little assistance for the bowlers it was up to the batsmen to make the most of being put into bat on a fine sunny day. Hussain certainly did that as he raced to his first fifty in the twelfth over. He smashed the ball to all parts of the ground hitting 27 fours and 2 sixes on his way to 169. With able support from Darius D’Souza (48), Harrow could declare on 322-4.In reply, the bowlers tried their best but in reality taking wickets on this pitch was always going to depend on batsmen making mistakes. The bowling for the most part lacked the imagination required to fiddle batsmen out on such a flat surface, and Enfield progressed sedately to 247-7 as the game meandered to a draw, with Hanley helping himself to 118 not out. Ajay Patidwala (3-28) and young Kirit Mohane (2-43) were the only bowlers to make any kind of impression. Harrow picked up 4 points for the winning draw.
