Match report A nail biting finish saw Harrow pipped by just 1 run on Sunday, at home to Waltham. Batting first Waltham were never allowed to get going thanks to some disciplined bowling from Darren Crook (2-18).
Harrow were also helped by some good ground fielding that resulted in three Waltham run outs. Although Waltham only posted 177 and were bowled out inside their allotted 45 overs, they used their bowling resources well and never let the Harrow batsmen get on top, most of whom got starts but weren't able to convert any into a big or match winning innings. Waqas Hussain (42), captain Suk Bhupal (42) and David Walker (30*) helped keep the momentum going but Harrow arrived at the last over still needing six runs to win, and with the dismissal of Choudhry it came down to four required off the last ball. Harrow could only manage two and Waltham ran out winners by the smallest of margins.
