Wembley v Harrow Cricket Club Saturday 1st XI on Sat 10 May 2008 at 1300
Harrow Cricket Club Lost
The lack of cricket in the lead up to the start of the league season caused Harrow major problems as they produced a below par performance away at Wembley. The home side won the toss and Harrow soon had Wembley in all sorts of trouble as the top three went with only 14 runs on the scoreboard. Theo Modeste was in fine form as he made a flying start to the new campaign taking 4 for 40. Harrow allowed Wembley to get away in the middle of their innings as P Patel (26) and L Dawkins (45) helped build the score. Wembley closed on 181 for 8. Unfortunately the rain came and this didn’t help Harrow’s cause as they also made a poor start and at 18 for 3 looked in deep trouble. They struggled to get their innings going and with only Darren Crook (43) and Theo Modeste (23) managing to produce last years form Harrow fell away to 126 all out. Tushaar Karia put in a fine performance on his league debut for Harrow and it can only get better.
