On a hot sunny day at Sheen Park, Harrow won the toss and elected to bowl first, making use of the wicket first was the right move as Sheen Park struggled to get runs on the board. Daniaal Hussian was the pick of the bowlers as his figures were 4-7-4 which included a hat trick. Sheen Park ended on 94 for 7.
Harrow started slow as Matt Elworthy was out early Sachin Patel and Dan Steward kept the board ticking along, then another blow as Dan steward was stumped by the keeper, this again slowed the run rate down but with Sachin Patel still there harrow had hope, next to come in was Jaymin Patel.
After the 12 over Harrow still needed 48 runs to win Sachin Patel and Jaymin Patel had a good understanding. Jaymin Patel fell in the 17th over and in came Nishal Vora whose job was to give strike to Sachin Patel. After a brief break for water Sachin Patel upped the tempo and with 2 over's left and 18 runs still needed Sachin cracked
a 4 of the first ball of the 18th over and then came a great fully accepted wide which gave Harrow another 2 runs and the last four balls gave Harrow 3 runs, now needing 9 of the last over the first ball was a dot the second was a quick 2 runs with Nishal getting pushed not just by his partner, but also the supporters. The third ball was cracked for a 4 and the fourth ball being a dot the fifth ball was a single and the last ball was 2 runs giving Harrow the win and a place in the County Finals against Ealing on 10th August Sachin Patel ended on 53 not out. Great performance by the whole team WELL DONE LADS. Harrow last reached a county final in 1995.
