Match report Harrow 2s produced an outstanding performance to beat high flying Finchley in the dark with five balls to spare. Batting first Finchley declared on 260 for 7 from 49 over’s & they appeared very confident in winning the game from that position. Victor Yadav picked up 3 for 55 with David Hall taking 2 for 68. Harrow made a fast start as they raced to 34 from six over’s. Graeme Overy was the first wicket to fall with the score on 34. Then David Morris & Nikin Ruparelia (44) took over as they put on 88 for the second wicket. Mozza then took control has he scored 102 to pass one thousand runs for the season. The light started to fade, but Ed Bennison launched a quick fire innings of 41 with some astonishing shots in difficult conditions. This included a big six played down leg side. Paul James (11) helped move the score along, but with nine wickets down and the score on 255 it was left to David Hall (9) to win the game with some cleaning hitting in near darkness & with the scores level David Hall hit a four to win the game as Harrow picked up the full ten points their cricket deserved. Both teams played their part in a great game of cricket watched by a crowd of enthusiastic spectators.
