Match report Harrow got their season off to a slow start with a home defeat to local rivals Kenton in their opening game of the season. Set 213 to win off 45 overs, Harrow had looked well placed after a solid opening partnership of 65 between Wasim Aslam (26) and Waqas Hussein (55), and at 118-2 a good run chase looked to be developing. However, fine bowlng from the Kenton spinners, Kanti (4-34) and Haider (2-23), slowed the run rate and triggered a middle order collapse as Harrow slumped to 147-6. Of the remaining batsmen only Dave Walker (23) and Richard Bennison (21) reached double figures as Harrow finished well short at 175-8 off their 45 overs.

Earlier Kenton had also collapsed from 106-1 to 165-8, after a fine innings of 65 from Sachin Patel. However a ninth wicket partnership of 47 between Singh and Zubhir saw them to a competitive 212-8. Hassan Mohammed (3-37) on debut and Waqas Hussein (2-33) were the pick of the Harrow bowlers.
