Match report Match Overview
*Fielding and Bowling*

- ⁠Harrow started the game well with both opening bowlers Aadam and Bharat bowled tight lines but Bharat dropped a straight caught and bowled chance in the 2nd over of the game which turned out to be costly. That opener ended up scoring 47 runs
- There was 2nd drop catch in the 17th over of a batsman who ended up scoring 33 runs of 13 balls. He hit 14 runs in the last over.
- ⁠There were 4/5 instances where ball went in the air but fielders either did not call or were scared of getting under the ball
- ⁠We gave away 20+ runs due to miss fields at the boundary line because of casual approach and/or not doing the basics right
- ⁠Vihaan Shah got injured in the 7th over of the 1st innings and did not take any further part.
- Farhan, Anika and Milind bowled well. Aadam and Bharat bowled well in their first spells but their 2nd spells were costly( purely because of dropped catch of the batter in the 17th over)

*Batting*
- Harrow did not have the best of start with Anika dismissed in the first over of a good ball.
- ⁠Arushi replaced Anika and showed positive intent. She was run out while taking the 2nd run as a result of direct hit. According to her, she had made her ground but umpire gave her out.
- ⁠Aarav Patel scored 78 runs and batted beautifully,showed good intent throughout. This was one of his best innings where he was positive and willing to take risks.
- ⁠Rest of the batting unit supported Aarav with Kushagra 19, Dhan 12 and Milind 8 not out
- We missed a few easy singles and did not convert ones into twos due to lack of calling

*Areas of improvement*
- High catches including judging the ball and confidently getting under them
- Throwing and backing up
- First attempt pickup when fielding
- loud and clear calling when batting
- ⁠Look for quick singles
- ⁠convert ones into twos

Overall it was much better effort by HCC and players should take confidence from today’s performance.

In the post match feedback the above points/areas of improvement were discussed and will be put in practice on Fridays.
